Cllr Robert Alden slams Labour Council cuts to Erdington funding

Cllr Robert Alden has slammed the City Councils decision today to cut funding to Erdington Ward Community by 60% and to impose large cuts on Children Centres in Erdington. This includes a fully costed alternative budget put forward by the Conservatives at todays Council meeting to save Erdingtons funding and services.

Labour Council announce 'Garden Tax'

The Labour Council has decided to attack aspiration in Erdington by announcing a Garden tax on anyone wishing to use the Green Waste Recyclign sytem from February 2014. The Labour Council have suggested residents will only be allowed to pay for this online, effectively banning anyone without a computer from a green waste collection service.
