Families were delighted to see surprise guest Father Christmas (who beared a remarkable resemblance to Cllr Robert Alden) visit the Malcolm Locker Youth Centre today for their Christmas Party. Santa, pictured right with his elf, was there to run the Christmas Grotto and then draw the raffles with the help of local Councillors Gareth Moore and Bob Beauchamp.
Following the Party everyone was invited to stay for a special Christmas Dinner put on by volunteers at the Locker. Cllr Bob Beauchamp said “the dinner was absolutely brilliant and everyone was very grateful for the hard work put in getting it all together, thank you very much”.
Cllr Robert Alden added “we are always delighted to be able to come down and help out in any way we can. The centre staff and volunteers do such a wonderful job running the place and give the local children so much joy and hope. The centre is a real vital part of our local community where it does such a great job helping give kids something constructive to do”.
After the event our local Councillors were presented with Christmas Cakes as a thank you for all their work supporting our local youth centre during the year.
