Labour Cllr Catherine Grundy has decided to resign from the Council less than two years after she was elected in the last Council elections in Kingstanding in 2012.
This now means Kingstanding residents will have to go to the polls in a unnecessary and expensive by-election caused by the Labour Party. With the cost of closing some local schools for polling day, hiring in staff, police etc the cost of the by-election could easily top £50,000. Money the Council could have been spending improving our local area.
